The Webdav app is a great way to get student work, pictures and video from the iPad to the network for printing, sharing and saving. I have used WebDav in my classroom to save student Keynotes created on the iPad by connecting to the student drive. We've also connected to the student drive to pull pictures out of folders that will enhance the Keynotes. It is a very helpful tool and a great way to not lose student files located on the iPad when updates take place. John Paul S. Red Bank Elementary School.
ReplyDeleteMy students used webdav to save their graphs from the Numbers app onto the student share drive. It converted their data into readable excel files. Awesome!

Most recently I used it to store videos from the iPads (recordings of my students reading their own writing to share with their parents for a celebration in our classroom) to the computer where I linked the videos to Smart Notebook. this allowed the students to run the "show".
WebDav makes it possible to save things students are creating to "show what they know" in Keynote and other apps. It also makes it possible for me to create documents and projects to be used for collaborative/independent learning and transfer them easily to the student iPads.

WebDav is essential in making a small number of iPads work with a large group. We use it almost daily; recently my 3rd graders opened a "crime scene" photo I provided in WebDav and inserted it into Keynote. This allowed them to grid the scene and record the grid coordinates all digitally.
